Coincidence comes from the belief of circumstances without apparent connection.
Karma, in western meaning, has been mystified as more along the lines of destiny. That if you act, think, or behave in a certain way, you will inevitably receive that in which you gave.
Alan Watts argued that we need to rid ourselves of causality. That in nature, there are no separate events. So there are no previous events, but we are always in the event.

Once you grasp that everything is within the context of your mind, based on knowledge and experience, you can have full capability to become whatever it is you please.
Psychologists describe this as attitude and behavior. That your outlook on life shapes your perceived external environment from the internal feeling you project it to be.
